This Too Shall Pass

I say this Bible verse when I want to comfort someone or myself to remind me that no condition is permanent. You have to go deep into your consciousness, address your fears, weakness, belief systems until you feel a sense of peace and hope and resilience. I get that people are scared but this too shall pass.

Now that most of us are gradually coming out of quarantine, semi coming out that is. it’s our reality and I always want to keep it real. If we make it out alive, we will have succeeded and that is the number one goal ,for all the sacrifices we’ve made. It’s so sad that sick people are being turned away from the hospital. Has racism reared its ugly head in the corona virus pandemic ???? I say this because everytime I read of a case of someone being turned away from the hospital; then later dying there’s a photo of a black person. I hope that’s not the case. The hospitals are overwhelmed,we all get that but the hospital is where you go when you are sick in order to stay alive . I just want this to be over. I know everyone wants this.

Chances are you might be returning to work . That can be a good thing, depending on how you feel about it . Many think it’s too soon. I say it depends on a lot of factors. Safety is concern and workplace protection is a must. Working is a blessing not just to support us but keep our minds occupied instead of worrying about our problems. The ability to work at home is a lifesaver.

On the other hand if you are still going to be at home and find yourself going batty looking at the same four walls so to speak. I have some ideas that may help you.

  1. If you have kids at home take the time to enjoy them while you still have them, make some memories. If they’re teens let them know you love them and are still there for them.
  2. Read inspirational material, There are so many to choose from but my favorite is the Science of Mind monthly journals . Going back to about 2007 or so this publication has saved my life. It is spiritual ,inclusive and it views are from a metaphysical standpoint. There is Christian foundation I believe but not as in the traditional sense.
  3. Look ahead into the future 10 or 20 years, where do you see yourself and how would advise your present self about life? I do this in reverse sometimes and hindsight is really 20-20. I now see that I worried too much, but I also learned much. Now I can help others get through trying times.
  4. Fulfill your creative longings if you life to paint, sew, draw, write, bake whatever you can get lost in .
  5. You must fuel your body with nutritious food to fortify your immune system. Vitamin C is a must. Drink herbal teas with ginger, and lemon. Create your own healthy smoothies. I’ll add kale or spinach leaves. Take vitamin supplements. Exercise in an activity you enjoy for your health and to relieve stress.
  6. Do whatever brings you joy each day while remembering how blessed and resilient you are.
  7. Talk to those close to you. Identify your lifes priorities every so often as they do change.
  8. Continue to learn more about who you are and grow during this period.
  9. Use your imagination for your benefit by visualizing what you want to experience and make it as real as possible.
  10. Love yourself as much as you love others, treat and take care of YOU.
