I talked about the coronavirus being like the black plague, which took out somewhere between 50 and 500 million people. I can’t be sure if the larger number isn’t combined with another deadly disease. I had no idea it would come to this. This is Real, and the world’s response is to quarantine yourself even if you’re not sick. Closing events where there are large crowds of people is the answer, I suppose. I don’t think the schools should be closed at least not the public ones. For the children who are struggling in classes, and I’ve seen this firsthand, not such a good idea. Their education is so important, and this just throws them off course.
So what is the plan, I wonder? When are things going back to normal? I’m trying to rationally figure this out. If people keep testing positive, that means stay home until what? , a cure is discovered or no one is testing positive again. How long can that take? No one knows how long.
This is now a pandemic because so many more people are testing positive for the coronavirus. I think what’s happening in China, Japan, and South Korea shows how these countries are putting the needs of it’s citizens first by sanitizing city streets, and Japan built three hospitals immediately. America’s not at all prepared for an outbreak of this magnitude, assuming it gets worse. The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is giving PSA’s on hand washing and how not to spread germs. Too bad someone decided to cut its funding.
Is there something that we don’t know that the government is hiding? This is turning into mass hysteria, in my opinion. If you or your family is affected, then it’s not mass hysteria to you; it is something that you’re actually dealing with. Now, for the stocking up on toilet paper, I
don’ t get it. You can’t eat it ! Must say I find that amusing, and I hope they save some for me.
Are people preparing for the end of the world? Maybe they feel God will take us all out because of the evil in the world? If that is to happen we can’t escape if it’s God’s will. Take precautions we must, but keep living your life is my philosophy. So now, gyms and recreation centers in my city are closed. I heard that the governor might close everything well. I think he can only shut down state and city services. The things that the government can’t shut down are fire stations, police departments, sanitation, pharmacies, and mental health facilities. I can’t fathom that.
We do have to take all the precautions that the CDC has advised, the hand washing and not going out if you’re sick. The one symptom that distinguishes it from the flu is shortness of breath. Being proactive with our health is key. I take vitamins to keep a healthy immune system. Back when I was younger, I used to get sick in the winter, but I don’t know if I took vitamins regularly. I really think I was dealing with so much stress and anxiety that it compromised my immune system.
So in closing, I want to say let’s all say a prayer for mankind, the earth. and for our government to aid its citizens in this difficult time. Let’s be responsible with our health and the Earth’s resources. Namaste
